Team Schein Donates More Than 300 Backpacks Filled with First Day of School Essentials

Denver, PA - Team Schein Members at Henry Schein's Denver, Pennsylvania, distribution center recently packed and donated 340 backpacks filled with school supplies, books, and hygiene products to help make the first day of school enjoyable and stress-free for local students. As part of the Company’s “Back to School Program,” the Company donated the backpacks to pre-identified participating children at the Children’s Home of Reading, a non-profit organization offering specialized residential, educational, and community-based programs to help both at-risk children and their families. Henry Schein has collaborated with the Children’s Home of Reading for 15 years.

Jill Troutman, Vice President of Advancement, Marketing and Communication for The Children’s Home of Reading said, “The children and their families are so excited when they are able to receive a new backpack full of supplies. The care and attention that is taken to get the backpacks prepared and delivered is amazing.  We are so fortunate to have this long-standing relationship with Henry Schein.”

For 26 years, Henry Schein’s' Back to School program has continued to expand. Initially beginning as a program serving 175 children, "Back to School” has evolved into a global initiative coordinated across various Company-operated sites worldwide. Since its inception, this program has had a positive impact on the lives of over 65,000 children, providing them with the necessary support and resources to embark on their educational journey with confidence.
